Kathmandu,22 Sept : Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachand ,today have suggested to the non-governmental organization’s NGO service of the nation. PM Dahal claimed that they failed to make their commitments to uplift backward community into the reality. The non-governmental organization must provide social service and create job opportunities for the middle group of people, said PM Dahal. He was speaking at a programme organised by the Social Welfare Council (SWC) in the capital to mark the 37th Social Service Day. He also questioned whether the NGOs were investing in social services or not. PM said that, NGOs are reluctant to work in rural areas, and emphasies the need of such NGOs to change the existing trend of focusing their activities only in urban areas and to carry out result-oriented works that should focus on the target group. Hence, there were including Secretary of the Ministry of Women, Children and Social Welfare Bishnu Prasad Lamsal and SWC Vice-Chair Nil Mani Baral pointed out the need for the government to vest the SWC with additional rights to gain its more success and make its role effective.
